It almost seemed kind of ironic to do a “Christmas” post for the dark web, but I figured that many of us dark web denizens also celebrate it, right?
In honor of that, I went searching for Christmas-related onion sites, and actually found one: http://pbbnzshcgemf3d5y.onion/news/2011/wewishyounerdychristmas
Technically, this site is on the clearnet too, but so are many onion sites, as we’ve learned. The actual site is Science Gallery, and here’s the clearnet URL for those of you who don’t have Tor: We Wish You A Nerdy Christmas.
Unfortunately, this site is from 2011, and I tried clicking on the Christmas card links, none of which worked. Of course, if you know Tor well enough, links that are down are something you come to expect!
The only other site I found that was vaguely Christmas related was this one: Planet Debian – Reproducible Builds. To quote their site:
Reproducible builds are a set of software development practices that create an independently-verifiable path from source to binary code.
Dark web or not, if you’re someone who likes coding and open source software (as I do), you may want to check this site out. Other than this, the main thing of interest that I found was a Christmas-themed adult site (albeit a legal one!). I would share it, but it seems that the site has since shut down…aw, shucks!
Anyhow, there’s my dark web Christmas for you. As always, if you have any other related links to share, please feel free to do so!
